What doesn’t Wales have to offer when it comes to drone aerial film-making?
From the breath-taking Cheddar Gorge, to the epic valleys, we’ve covered it all. Wales has many iconic locations such as Dinefwr Castle, a Welsh castle overlooking the River Tywi, and Swallow Falls, a multiple waterfall system that is beautiful.
Aerial Republic films a great deal in Wales because of the diversity of landscapes. Not only did we film for Top Gear but we’ve also filmed episodes of the hugely popular TV series, The Indestructibles, for sky and cable’s Dave channel.
We filmed these crazy bunch of mentalists, who love extreme sports, performing terrifying stunts from white-water rafting in cardboard boxes and inflatable bouncy castles, to going down dry ski-slopes in canoes.
Wales is somewhere we know very well and have extensive experience filming there.
When it comes to cities like Cardiff, which have restricted air space, Aerial Republic is one of the only production companies who can achieve the extent of our vast aerial flying capabilities. We have the know-how to work in-line with very tight regulations, including night flying.
We know how to get the permissions you need and we’re used to dealing with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), submitting safety cases to film in locations that require special authorisation.
